My name is Andres Anton and I am 22 years old. I am from Spain and I was born in Elche, a city in the South East, but I did my Bachelors in Biochemistry at the University of Barcelona. I completed two interships during my Bachelors: one more business-oriented and other that was pure research. In my bachelor they prepared us better for a research career, but I did enjoy the business experience as well, so that is why I chose the Health Food Innovation Management Master’s programme. Furthermore, I always had a passion for food, when I was little my dream job was being a chef. I love cooking and trying new recipes, and for sure I enjoy trying new meals and discovering new gastronomies. So I felt I fit in this Master’s program completely.
I am incredibly honoured to take on the roll of the treasurer for ISA Umami, as of October 29th. I feel a student association doubles its importances in the dark moments we are living right now because helps us to feel more connected and to create stronger bonds with each other despite the whole online environment. Being in charge of treasury is a bit of a challenge as I had never to do something like this before, luckily I count with my parents help, both treausers of important associations, and I have seen another treasurers in work so I learned from them.
Of course 2020-2021 will be a learning experience about how to face challenges, and a moment for hope, so let’s do this all together and for sure we will achieve our goals.
