Dear reader,

My name is Mayk Cremers, I am a Dutch 24 years old student in the first year of the Master Health Food Innovation Management (HFIM). Previously I used to study Maastricht Science Programme (MSP), also at Maastricht University. I chose this Masters’ to broaden my knowledge of the food industry and learn more about the business parts of this field and learn to use my quite scientific biological background in food products. So far I am quite satisfied with my choice and the study really lives up to my expectations. Therefore I wanted to contribute a bit to the programme and the students by applying for the board of ISA Umami.

I have been selected as External-Commissioner, which means I have to keep in contact and strengthen our relationships with external parties, like sponsors, businesses and the municipality. I think this position will be a nice opportunity for me to get to know the municipality of Venlo and the businesses in the field of the food industry. I am looking forward to working with a lot of different people and see how we can build upon the foundations of the old boards to make ISA Umami even better.
